COMPOSITE RESTORATIONS
POST TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Do not eat or drink for 2 hours after the procedure.
- For the first 24 hours, follow a “white diet”. Avoid foods and drinks that may stain your teeth or the restoration, such as coffee, tea, red wine, tobacco, beetroot, berries, curry, and turmeric.
- A follow-up appointment is recommended approximately 2 weeks after the procedure to make any minor adjustments, unless your dentist advises otherwise.
- Avoid biting hard objects with the restored teeth, such as fingernails, pens, or other hard items.
- Maintain good oral hygiene by using a soft-bristled toothbrush, dental floss, and, if recommended, an oral irrigator (water flosser).
- Do not use highly abrasive toothpastes, especially whitening toothpastes, as they may damage the polished surface of the restoration.
- Limit acidic foods and carbonated drinks, as they may accelerate the wear of the composite material.
If the restoration becomes damaged, please contact ODONTO.
Composite restorations are aesthetic reconstructions and are subject to natural wear over time. This may include gradual loss of surface gloss, slight colour changes, and minor surface wear caused by normal chewing function. These natural changes are expected and are not considered a defect or grounds for a warranty claim.
The longevity and appearance of a composite restoration depend on your bite, oral habits, diet, and oral hygiene, and therefore may vary from one patient to another.
WARRANTY
The warranty for composite restorations includes:
- 30-day warranty from the date the restoration is placed.
- Free minor adjustments during the warranty period.
- After the warranty period, any necessary adjustments will be charged according to the current ODONTO price list.
