IN-OFFICE TEETH WHITENING
POST TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
ORAL CARE
The whitening effect usually lasts 2–3 years, depending on your individual tooth characteristics, eating and drinking habits, and oral hygiene.
To help maintain the whitening result and slow down the return of staining, we recommend touch-up whitening with custom trays after approximately 12 months.
Your teeth will appear noticeably whiter immediately after the procedure; however, the final shade will stabilize within about 2 weeks.
EATING AND DRINKING
- Do not eat or drink for 2 hours after the whitening treatment.
- Follow a “white diet” for 2 weeks:
- Do not smoke.
- Avoid coffee, strong tea, cola, and red wine.
- Avoid strongly staining foods such as beetroot, berries, curry, turmeric, and similar products.
- Avoid coloured oral hygiene products, including coloured toothpastes and mouthwashes.
- For the first 24 hours, avoid acidic foods and drinks.
FOLLOW-UP CARE
- Continue attending routine dental check-ups every 6 months.
- Professional dental cleaning (removal of plaque and tartar) is recommended every 6–12 months, or as advised by your dentist or dental hygienist.
- If you have tooth-coloured fillings in the front teeth, they may be replaced approximately 2 weeks after whitening to better match your new tooth shade, if necessary.
