ROOT CANAL TREATMENT
POST TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
- After root canal treatment, you may experience mild to moderate pain or tenderness when biting, or occasional spontaneous discomfort. These symptoms are normal and should gradually improve. They may last for up to 4 weeks after treatment.
- If you experience severe or persistent pain, please contact ODONTO.
- In rare cases, facial swelling may occur. If this happens, please contact your dentist, as an antibiotic may be required.
- If the temporary filling placed during treatment falls out, please contact ODONTO as soon as possible to have it replaced.
- Be careful when eating until the tooth has received its final restoration, as it may be more fragile.
- After the treatment is completed, a permanent restoration (such as a filling, crown, or other restoration) should be placed according to the recommendation of your endodontist or treating dentist.
- A follow-up X-ray of the treated tooth is recommended 6 months after the completion of treatment.
WARRANTY
Primary root canal treatment is covered by a 12-month warranty.
If pain or symptoms develop in the treated tooth during the warranty period, you are entitled to:
- free repeat root canal treatment
or
- free tooth extraction, if the tooth is no longer considered restorable.
Warranty Conditions
The warranty is valid provided that:
- the recommended final restoration of the tooth has been completed, and
- you attend all recommended follow-up appointments, including X-ray examinations every 6 months, as advised by your dentist.
