POST TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS
HOW TO USE THE WHITENING TRAYS
- Use the whitening gel syringes in the order and concentration recommended by your dental hygienist.
- Brush your teeth thoroughly and clean between your teeth before each application.
- Place a small pea-sized amount of whitening gel into the front (lip side) of each tooth compartment in the tray, or as instructed by your dental hygienist.
- Insert the trays and make sure they fit properly. Remove any excess gel from your gums using a dry tissue, toothbrush, or cotton swab.
RECOMMENDED WEARING TIME
- The trays are usually worn for 4–6 hours or 8–10 hours, depending on your dental hygienist’s instructions.
- After each use, brush your teeth thoroughly, rinse the trays with lukewarm water, and store them in their protective case.
- If you experience tooth sensitivity, use a desensitizing toothpaste as recommended.
DURING THE WHITENING TREATMENT, DO NOT
- Use any other whitening products.
- Eat or drink anything except water while wearing the trays.
- Consume citrus fruits, fruit juices, or antacid medications, as they may interfere with the whitening process.
- Smoke or consume coffee, cola, red wine, or strongly staining foods and spices (such as beetroot, berries, curry, or turmeric).
- Use the whitening gel if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, as there is insufficient evidence regarding its safety during pregnancy and lactation.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Follow all instructions carefully. If you experience significant tooth sensitivity, stop the treatment and contact ODONTO.
- Store the whitening gel in a cool, dry place, preferably in the refrigerator.
- Maintain excellent oral hygiene throughout the whitening treatment.
- If the trays feel tight or uncomfortable, schedule an appointment with your dental hygienist for an adjustment.
- Your teeth may appear whiter immediately after treatment, but the final shade will stabilize within approximately 2 weeks.
- If your teeth gradually become darker over time, the whitening treatment can usually be repeated after 6–12 months.
- If you miss one or more applications, the treatment period may need to be extended according to your dental hygienist’s recommendations.
